All Rize called on two of their diva vocalist friends Mia Cox and powerhouse Barbara Walker for Got Soul? Then Dance to put the lead vocals down on a soulful remake of Mia Cox #1 Billboard Hot Club single "Caught Up" which was written by Helen & Terry and co-writer David Banks aka DJ Disciple. Barbara Walker remakes her UK hit Saved Me also written by Helen & Terry and Louis Benedetti, which Barbara was nominated for an UK House Music Award for Outstanding Vocal Performance. All Rize provides their unique blend of background vocal flavor for Mia and Barbara on both tracks.

QUOTES

"We feel it's time to introduce something different to the streets with our flava of Urban Dance. We also feel dance music has suffered from almost eliminating the performing artist from the genre and focusing typically on the DJ. We will rock the clubs with a live band and do track dates, we are ready to bring our USB sound to R&B and the dance music podium. In dance music the public should be able to put a face with the voice they hear as with any other genres of music. The public needs to identify and connect with who is telling the story. So All Rize is ready to bring Urban Dance to r&b and dance/electronic music ."- All Rize

"My favorite track is "Release", this track is HOT!" - Angel Crow, Borders Book Store, Philadelphia.

I can't wait to hear it in the clubs and I love track 4 No I'm Not Your Girlfriend."- Carlos Adams , Product Manager- Urban & Soundtracks, Virgin Ent. Group, Los Angeles

All Rize will no doubt shake up the dance/electronic fans with their new brand of USB, so jump on board and as track 10 suggest let All Rize take you on a "Ride."

NEW RELEASE DECEMBER 7, 2009
The Empress of Soul LINDA JONES

Linda Jones born December 14, 1944 in Newark, New Jersey considered by many one of the greatest soul singers who ever lived. Linda put her heart and soul into every lyric like no other, it is often said you could feel her pain in every word. In a Rolling Stone interview Gladys Knight was asked to name one of her favorite singers and Gladys replied “Linda Jones.” Linda released a few 45’s before getting her big break in 1967 when she recorded the now classic soul ballad “Hypnotized” on the Warner Bros. R&B label Loma. This classic soul ballad has been licensed to just about every Slow Jam & R&B/classic soul compilation ever, selling over a million copies combined.

Linda worked with several different record labels after leaving Loma she recorded with, Gamble & Huff’s (Neptune) label and her last label Turbo/All Platinum. She continued to chart even after her passing with her version of the Jerry Butler song “For Your Precious Love.” She wrote the talking intro to her version titled “Your Precious Love” which pulled you in from the first vowel. Linda was a great songwriter, writing her classics “Things I’ve Been Through”, “I’ve Given You The Best Years Of My Life” and many of her talking break downs. In later years with re-released versions of her songs her name was removed allegedly by her manager at that time. Linda was the victim of a shady producer/manager but if you are lucky and you have the original 45’s you will see her correct writer credits.

In the movie Ali starring Will Smith a singer portrays Linda at a night club performing her version of “For Your Precious Love.” Linda’s daughter Terry recalls her Aunts and Uncles discussing the time when Linda came home from a concert and said Mohammad Ali was at her show. The producers of the film did not know who to contact for clearance of Linda’s likeness because of this they could not use Linda’s name in the film Ali, just the song. Linda’s daughter Terry Jones did not know anything about her mother’s version of “For Your Precious Love” being used in Ali until after the films release.
Linda suffered from chronic diabetes and only had one kidney but her illnesses never stopped her from singing, until March 14, 1972. On that fateful day Linda just finished a matinee performance at the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem, having one more evening performance before finishing her two week long engagement. That matinee show would be her final performance. Linda was not feeling well that day and decided to go back home to Newark, New Jersey to rest between shows. Linda fell asleep and went into a diabetic shock, slipped into a coma never to awake Linda was only 27 years old. Although her career was short Linda remains a vital influence in today’s music and you can hear her music on the radio at any given time, she is even sampled by hip hop artist.
Now for the first time since her passing new music will be released by Linda Jones co-produced by her daughter Terry Jones and Helen Bruner. “Soul Talkin” will satisfy fans of soul music worldwide it captures Linda’s vocal prowl-ness, energy and emotion. Terry Jones expressed “I’m so proud to be the daughter of Linda Jones and be able to keep my Mom’s musical legacy a live.”
